S4E35: The 4th Joel Someone Interview

Send a text

Perennial guest and porn star Joel Someone is in New York and I took the opportunity to sit down and catch up. From the Gayvn Awards, garbage picking in New York to his father’s passing; we go deep.

We then attempt to read mean comments about Joel, but get into a conversation about dealing with online trolling and the importance of accepting criticism.

[00:00:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Welcome to another episode of Demystifying Gay Porn.

[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_03]: My name is Ike Grande, and if you watch gay porn, I've definitely helped to get off.

[00:00:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And what a surprise.

[00:00:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Who's sitting in my seat?

[00:00:31] [SPEAKER_03]: None other than award-winning content creator, porn model,

[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_03]: renaissance man, right?

[00:00:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Joel Someone.

[00:00:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Could you add like,

[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_05]: I would love that.

[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_05]: And me even saying it too, it was kind of cute.

[00:00:47] [SPEAKER_05]: How are you?

[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm great.

[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.

[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I feel like, uh, I'm like the slime of this podcast.

[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_05]: It just kind of like dripped down and it was like, oh, there's Joel Someone on this season as well.

[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Here we go again.

[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_03]: This is actually still season four.

[00:01:02] [SPEAKER_05]: There's a lot of Joel Someone on this season.

[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_03]: This is the second time that you will be on season four.

[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_03]: For a good reason.

[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's.

[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.

[00:01:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm glad I'm glad I'm deserving.

[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's still season four because of the fact that, uh, the history ones, they take a lot of time, a lot of research and all that.

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And I like to throw in a couple of interviews with models and producers and directors and stuff.

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Good softball interview.

[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_03]: So when you were, so when you were in town again, I, um, actually you, you were like, Hey, is it too soon?

[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, it's never too soon for Joel Someone.

[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_03]: So we did a couple scenes.

[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_03]: We did a couple scenes for treasure Island.

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, we caught up a little bit, but I want to know what's been going on since the last year.

[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_05]: A lot, a lot.

[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, I got to be with my beautiful boyfriend King dwarf for, has it been a year?

[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, another year, I guess.

[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_05]: You're right.

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_05]: We're doing great.

[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, I love them.

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_05]: The pieces were definitely struggling with a lot more travel now because now we're, we're, we've always had very separate careers.

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_05]: And so we have been noticing our schedules, not keeping us together as much.

[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_05]: And so we are definitely getting better about the, like making sure we try to make time for each other because that's the time you get.

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you want to talk about the Gavion awards or?

[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, really?

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_05]: You're going to siphon it out of me.

[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_05]: You're going to siphon it out of me.

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, Oh, did you have something to say?

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Did you, did you have some gossip that you possibly wanted to share with me?

[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't have to be gossip.

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you have any, how were the Gavion awards?

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_05]: They were lovely.

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_05]: They were, they were lovely.

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, the sportsmanship could have been a little bit better than it had been in years past, but what are you going to do about that?

[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Did they Belichick a couple of awards or?

[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Nothing.

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_03]: What was it?

[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you Flakegate remember that during the Superbowl one year?

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe, maybe, maybe they did, but you're not getting a little suss.

[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_05]: You're not taking a little thing from me.

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_03]: It's all right.

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't like, like I said before, I, this is a independently run podcast.

[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_05]: The people who annoyed me for the Avianna awards will hear about me in person.

[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't worry.

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_05]: All right.

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_05]: Um, so you had a good time.

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_05]: I had a good time.

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_05]: I made a couple of really nice new friends.

[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_05]: I became friends with Ryan Landers.

[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_05]: He just messaged me and he's like, mention me in the podcast.

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_05]: And so Ryan Landers, name, well, you know, okay.

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_05]: The one thing I will say though, the thing that did kind of suck is.

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, you never noticed the little details like them dropping the names at

[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_05]: the end of the year because they, they'll nominate like 15 people and then they'll

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_05]: drop the last five.

[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_05]: And I was sitting right next to this guy, Ryan who's Ryan Landers, super sweet,

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_05]: dude, real niche, super interesting guy has been doing it longer than me and is

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_05]: a really successful content creator was up for a best new content creator.

[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_05]: And he came, bought a suit, you know what I mean?

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Got all done up and is at the award show with everyone else.

[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_05]: And just like, you know, we, we, I remember the first year I was nominated.

[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_05]: I knew I was fluff.

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I was like, okay, Joel, someone just get ready to clap.

[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, I think we all knew that.

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I think we were, what are you talking about?

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, or just any of them, just any of them.

[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like, I don't care, but like it was a nice night seeing someone pick up their

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_05]: phone, just to even get like their, see their name be like, Oh,

[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_05]: they're going to call my name now.

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Nope.

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_05]: And then I don't know.

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_05]: And then there were some very not gracious kind of award acceptance speeches that I

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_05]: didn't love, which I won't mention specific ones, but just in that moment I was,

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_05]: I wasn't feeling it.

[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_05]: The other thing that had happened to is they had fully disclosed they had just

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_05]: given Michael Ewan the lifetime achievement award or the hall of fame award

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_05]: posthumously. He, he just died this year and uh, that sucked.

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_05]: It's weird. I, my dad died this year too. Sorry.

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_05]: So let's slip that in as well. It's like this porn person who I really love.

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Also dad, dad's dead too.

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_05]: But you know, it was really hard with Michael Ewan because he kind of was a

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_05]: little bit of a porn father for me.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I have my own version of who I am and there are moments when people herald

[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_05]: it like yourself.

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_05]: And there are other times you meet people like Ryan Landers and you get,

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_05]: you feel so comfortable in the fact that you're a little bit off the fray.

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_05]: And then you have those other times where they're like, all right,

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_05]: we're pulling all the real models to the side and we're going to, uh,

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_05]: fetish models. Can you come over here? And it just,

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_05]: I like that divide sometimes happens.

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_05]: But I remember he worked for naked sword and he was one of those people who

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_05]: really believed in me. Like he was someone who really pushed my career,

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_05]: was really generous with me as a mentor,

[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_05]: was something that whenever I went to those award shows, was always there.

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_05]: And this year, um, there was an empty seat for him and it's always in the,

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_05]: it's in the balcony with the other chucklehead, uh, Roma,

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_05]: uh, Shishi Leroux and Ethylene. And I sat in his seat this year and uh,

[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_05]: wow. It was just like realization.

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_05]: It felt good because it was like the continuation of things. But it,

[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_05]: it felt really sad that I was the one in his seat. So I missed him.

[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Just like tack all that onto like dad stuff now.

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_03]: So tell me a little bit, because I know we spoke, uh, after a scene, um,

[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_03]: the other day about you losing your dad. What was that?

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_05]: It was hard. It was hard. I won't lie. Um,

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know that he was a huge fan of my porn career and I've kind of always

[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_05]: kept my porn life separate from my family just as a, as a get out,

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_05]: just in case like, you know what I mean? Like they, they,

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_05]: my mother had run into legal issues at a place she had worked because someone

[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_05]: tried to like extort money from her school because her son's a porn actor.

[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_05]: And so I had always,

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I liked keeping it separate just to kind of like I'm not really around Joel,

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_05]: the porn star isn't one of those people who's kind of constantly like buzzing

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_05]: around your careers and stuff. And so it was just really hard. You know, it's,

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_05]: I've been in this industry long enough to where I've never been jaded.

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_05]: I love this job.

[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_05]: You saw me just turn out three scenes in two days that I was just like,

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I love it. I absolutely love it. But it,

[00:07:22] [SPEAKER_05]: it did kind of add like a little bit of a hum in the background that just made it

[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_05]: a little harder. Like when, when, uh, when stuff isn't as easy,

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_05]: it's really not easy. And, uh, I had a little bit of the case of the fuck.

[00:07:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Which is the other reason I can't be that mad about the avian awards is this

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_05]: year was a little bit of my, uh, Joel, someone had a case of the fuck. It's,

[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_03]: well, I kind of feel like even Joel, someone has to stop, especially, you know,

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_03]: you, you're, you weren't,

[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_03]: you didn't have a very close relationship with your dad by the end of it or did

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_03]: you? No, not really. All right. But you still, it's still your dad. Yeah,

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_05]: totally. Totally. It's mostly just shock.

[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_05]: It's just kind of like, it's just shock and digesting. It's been hard.

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean? It's like,

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah, it just, all of a sudden I think about it every day. Like,

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_05]: like every day I think about it and I'm like, Oh shit.

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like in the back of my head. I was like, sorry,

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_05]: not to seem so flippant on it. That's really the only way I can digest it.

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_05]: It's just like make a dead dad joke or something.

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_05]: None came to mind sadly.

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's all right. Let's talk a little bit about, um, LA.

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk a little bit about, we're in New York right now.

[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_03]: So you thinking about going by Colstall or?

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_05]: So me and Marco Napoli are still like Bert and Ernie.

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_05]: Like even though we're not dating, we're still like besties.

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's adorable because we really, he's so my best friend.

[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_05]: It's so weird. And it's funny, his, sorry, Marco, I'm going to let you,

[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_05]: his out too. His dad died this summer too.

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_05]: So it was like both of our fathers died and it was incredible to have someone

[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_05]: there for it. That like, it was great. I'm sorry.

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't mean to say it was great,

[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_05]: but it was just like it was nice to have someone who completely understood and

[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_05]: just like I was flew to his side. He flew to my side, me, him,

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_05]: and King Dwarf all went to New Mexico as a funeral gang.

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_05]: And uh, yeah, it was, you know,

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_05]: it really did seal a lot of the people in my life. Like it,

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_05]: it sucked, but the people who it made,

[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_05]: it made some of the connections I had a lot stronger.

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_05]: And these are people who are my brothers, like, you know,

[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_05]: these are industry, these are all my, the house of someone is all industry folk.

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_03]: What was that scene like in New Mexico? You know, it's,

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_05]: I, people know when you go back to New Mexico, it's so well,

[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_05]: New Mexico is so polite. They're one of those places.

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_05]: So are they all, they all know, even if they know, okay, you all know,

[00:09:55] [SPEAKER_05]: let's be clear. You all know, you all know.

[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Do you watch the subscribe stumbled upon it? Someone's told you something.

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Say is that, is that drawn?

[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_04]: Is that the guy who used to work at Michael Kors? This him? I don't know.

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_05]: I have a friend who likes this kind of stuff. I'm sure you've watched.

[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I know you've watched. Um, no, it's, it's funny. I, and I'm,

[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_05]: I go full guns of blazing.

[00:10:26] [SPEAKER_05]: I act like I'm fucking Mae West when I go back to New Mexico.

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I put all my profile photos up or it's like, yeah,

[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_05]: like in my, on my grinder profile, it's like porn actor, shameless,

[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_05]: utterly shameless. I'm sorry. I have to prime the pump with my celebrity.

[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_05]: When people run up to me on the street and they're like, Oh my God,

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_05]: are you Joel? Someone it's because they saw my grinder post and I had to remind

[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_05]: them. It's not because they were, they saw me and they were excited.

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I primed the pump. I primed the pump.

[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_05]: So if anybody's walking around with me and all of a sudden I have people be

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_05]: like, Oh my God, I love your work.

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_05]: So you and Marco are thinking about, um, oh, that's right. New York. Sorry.

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you for keeping calm. I know all the candy you fed me on this porno set

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_05]: has thrown me. I am just full of energy and distraction.

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_03]: It's champ Robinson's fault. And I'll name drop him for that.

[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Marco, when me and Marco first started dating,

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_05]: I was living in New York and he had kind of like a halfway living situation in

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_05]: LA and we,

[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_05]: we,

[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_05]: he kind of lived out of my apartment for a year or so while he was back and

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_05]: forth to Europe. And then the pandemic happened and we both moved to LA and he's

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_05]: kind of decided that he kind of wants to dip his toe in New York.

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Like he wants to have his own little apartment here,

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_05]: even though we've been doing the Burton or anything and sleeping in one bed

[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_05]: together for the last couple of weeks. So cute.

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_05]: He kind of wants to have like his own apartment in New York and it would be

[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_05]: kind of also something I paid into. So we would kind of jump back and forth.

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah. You know, it's, I miss being a New Yorker.

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_05]: I miss it. I was like on the street looking at garbage today and just like,

[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_05]: wait a second, that's a nice rug. Oh, you're right.

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Full disclosure, full disclosure. I looked at, I didn't get it.

[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't get it, but that was a nice rug on the street. All right.

[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_05]: I will say, all right. I know you're all saying, ew, you didn't see the rug.

[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I did see your post and I will put up a screen just because I was like,

[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_03]: what is he doing?

[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_04]: That was a hand woven Pakistani rug.

[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_04]: That rug probably cost like $7,000.

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_03]: No. And they were just going to get rid of it. Right.

[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Cause it was...

[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_03]: And they did. They did. They literally,

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_05]: they loaded it right into a garbage truck right in front of me.

[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_05]: There was like a, there was like nine of them and they were all different.

[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_05]: And I come from an antiquing background.

[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_05]: I come from a background where I used to be a vintage reseller.

[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_05]: And so I go down to Soho and I see how much hand tied,

[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_05]: sorry, sorry, side note. Yes.

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Me and Marco Napoli are moving to New York and I'm clearly a neurotic person who

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_05]: picks up garbage off the street.

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_02]: But you already layered those carpets on your floor. You know,

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_02]: some people do that. They layer.

[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_05]: You know who was the real driver? My mother, my mother was, and this is,

[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_05]: and it was funny. I told another porn actor this I'm like, Hey dude,

[00:13:19] [SPEAKER_05]: cause I was meeting him to work out at the gym.

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_05]: I was going to meet Dan Dennington at the gym. And I'm like, dude,

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to be late. And he's like, why? I'm like,

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_05]: I found some rugs on the street. He's like, ew. I'm like, no, you don't know.

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_05]: They're like, and then I gave him the whole spiel. I'm like,

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_05]: I know one of them from Pakistan and this one does look like it's from Iraq.

[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's like, they're a big, they're a big fucking deal anyway.

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_05]: And so I called my mother and she got me all hyped up too. She's like,

[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_05]: I tried to get a hold of uncle Tommy or cousin Rocco.

[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_05]: They can't come in from Jersey.

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_05]: They're in South Jersey right now with the tow trucks.

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_05]: They can't come and get it. Like it was a whole Jersey extravaganza.

[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_05]: I tried and it was like, yeah, no, I was,

[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_05]: I was on the freezing street for like 30 minutes,

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_05]: like trying to get call a fucking truck.

[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Why didn't you try? Um, are you TaskRabbit? Well, you have to go get,

[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, and by the time you, and they were, and I was guarding the rugs.

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_05]: They were telling me they were, it was, wow.

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_05]: I can't believe I went in on the story on the rugs. Uh, it was, uh,

[00:14:17] [SPEAKER_05]: the people who I just take took taking them out of the restaurant that they were

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_05]: in because they were still in great condition, um,

[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_05]: had thrown them on the street and they were like,

[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_05]: you better hurry up and get these out of here, kid.

[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_05]: They're going to load these up on the dump truck now,

[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_05]: which is like we're doing this now. And so I had rolled them up and they were huge.

[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_03]: They were one was like, I think 15 by 10 feet. Like,

[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_03]: even if it wasn't an original rug that that would still each one of those would

[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_03]: be like, yeah, garbage versions of that.

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_05]: Garbage versions of that is expensive. Anyway,

[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_05]: let's stop talking about the rug. I'm sorry. I didn't cry about my dad,

[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_05]: but I might cry about the rug today. Okay.

[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_03]: So, so one of the things I wanted to talk to you about because of the fact that

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_03]: you have the distinct pleasure of being you and champ.

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And I think I can't remember. I think it's just you and champ,

[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_03]: but you guys have been on every single season of the podcast.

[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Really? Yeah. And, uh, I am going to find comments,

[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_03]: nasty comments. Well, I mean we can find nasty comments.

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_03]: We can find good comments.

[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Are you doing opposition research on me or something?

[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Are you trying to find nasty things in my history or something like we're

[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_05]: talking about?

[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_03]: No, not at all.

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_03]: What I'm trying to do is kind of like what I did with Sean Durant.

[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_03]: There were some comments, you know, a lot. I just want to see.

[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot of really, really good comments, but there's some that,

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know. Curious to see how you feel. Would you be game?

[00:15:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah. Okay. Okay. I love nasty comments.

[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I love them.

[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_03]: What's the nastiest comment you've ever read outside of anything I might read to

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_03]: you now?

[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_05]: That one where it was like Joel someone's everywhere. But what was another one?

[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_05]: It's funny when I do a lot of the trans porn,

[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_05]: their fans are really interesting. They call,

[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_05]: they like calling me a faggot, which is funny. Like, like on those ones,

[00:16:12] [SPEAKER_05]: they think you're probably going to sense that. Like, yeah. Yeah.

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_05]: But that's one that's, I've not been called that in a long time.

[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's interesting to be like watching a video and then like scrolling through

[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_05]: them. And it's like, I don't know.

[00:16:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Like Ava Paradise is so beautiful and she is such a stunning woman.

[00:16:30] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's so, it's such a pleasure to watch her with her girly stick.

[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_05]: But when she fucks Joel someone, you truly see that he is a fag.

[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like he's the way he wears that tank top is so gay.

[00:16:42] [SPEAKER_05]: And the way he arches his lower back.

[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_05]: And can we talk about his girly moaning? Like goes on.

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's interesting. And it's like, yeah, detail.

[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_05]: That person watched that video from start to finish.

[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_05]: And it goes on for like another paragraph. So that was interesting.

[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay. I'm like, I don't think about you that much. So yeah, you're right.

[00:17:04] [SPEAKER_03]: You're absolutely right. Well, gee,

[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_03]: that's interesting because you get that from trans fans.

[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. And your gay fans rip you a new asshole

[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_03]: every single time you're in a trans scene. They call you a fake gay.

[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_03]: They call you an ex-gay and we've, we've done this before.

[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_03]: We've spoken about this. All right. So here's a nice one. Uh,

[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_03]: from six months ago, I purchased a video featuring Joel someone,

[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_03]: and he is awesome in all caps. Thank you. All right. That's always nice.

[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_03]: You can tell when an actor truly employs, enjoys his work.

[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_03]: And I appreciate actors that do that.

[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Actors that simply go through the motions to get the money shot are boring.

[00:17:43] [SPEAKER_03]: And you can tell that's the only reason they're doing it. Art is so hard. Oh,

[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_03]: somebody just quoted you. That was interesting. Okay. So that's from the first,

[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_03]: that's from the first season. All right.

[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay. I was expecting like that to take a turn because that's the other thing

[00:17:57] [SPEAKER_05]: I've noticed sometimes about nasty comments is they have like a misdirect to get

[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_05]: you to read it where it's like, Joel,

[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_05]: someone is so talented and I really love him. But recently,

[00:18:08] [SPEAKER_05]: recently a cloud has gone over him or something.

[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm reading these cold too. I'm blind by the way.

[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_03]: The first time I saw Joel in the scene, I was a little cold from him.

[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_03]: The more I watched him and seeing and hearing him in this series,

[00:18:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I've come to think of him as one of the hottest performers I've come across.

[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I tracked on his first buy scene and after, uh,

[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_03]: after he mentioned it on DGP and I'm incredibly impressed by him now.

[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like the conversation he likes with people before filming with them,

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_03]: knowing someone a little bit makes the experience more intense and enjoyable.

[00:18:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Thanks for sharing with us, Joel.

[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, it's fine.

[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_05]: The reference they're making is I lost my virginity to a girl. My first buy scene.

[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_05]: I do that with hookups. Like on the rare occasion,

[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm in the mood to just get like fucked. Like in the real occasion,

[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I just want someone to stick their dick in me. I like consent in love language.

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm like, just, you know, I consent in love language.

[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_05]: So I know we're just doing like a quickie and you're going to pour your seed in

[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_05]: my guts or whatever. But, um, I might say I love you.

[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_05]: So don't be weirded out by it. Okay.

[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_03]: This one's kind of a dig at both of us.

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Ooh, come through.

[00:19:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you ever interview someone who is actually gay?

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_03]: If Joel someone is actually gay, like he says in this interview,

[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_03]: then why is he in previous interviews state he's bisexual?

[00:19:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Why does he list himself as bisexual on Rentmen?

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Clearly Joel can't tell the difference between gay bisexual.

[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_03]: It goes on more towards you though. Gay for pay dot, dot, dot money.

[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_03]: He's very good at gay acting.

[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_05]: You were here when I just, you know,

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_05]: you've all heard me go off on like antique rugs for about five minutes.

[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_05]: So tell me, tell me the heterosexual who does that.

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Sorry. Uh, I got the receipts, Diane.

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Been following him since that amazing video he did.

[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_05]: So there's lots of, you're struggling.

[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_05]: I thought you were going to get work and look ahead of time for nasty comments

[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_05]: because you do actually have to hunt them down.

[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I was, I really did want to. I remember I did have to recast a little bit.

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_03]: We bitch. I forgot about, no, I know. But I figured, you know,

[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_03]: there's a couple of, okay, so here,

[00:20:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Joel someone has successfully been converted to heterosexuality.

[00:20:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Big fan of Joel. Someone stumbled across this interview.

[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Now a bigger fan of Joel and this podcast. Great job guys.

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_03]: You both honor the craft.

[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, it's honestly, and I tell this to everyone in porn,

[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_05]: that's what you're going to find most of.

[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_05]: You're going to get lots and lots and lots of praise.

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_05]: You really do have to hunt down these nasty comments. Yeah.

[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean? Like they're in there, but they're, they're in there.

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_05]: And they're so glib. Yeah. You don't know me.

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_05]: You don't know me. Try come for me. I dare you.

[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean? Like, it's like, you don't know me. How, how are you?

[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Like it's, they're so topical and like,

[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm sure they didn't even watch the episode.

[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_05]: They just saw something that like annoyed them.

[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_05]: You are.

[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_05]: Why do people hate Shonduran more than me?

[00:21:15] [SPEAKER_05]: You could not fair.

[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Jesus Christ.

[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, why is still someone referring to himself as gay man when he has sex with

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_03]: women that's as, as recent as three weeks ago. So that's basically somebody that,

[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_05]: um, it's hard. I, you know, I, I,

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_05]: I've kind of upgraded to my little status to more like pan because I really,

[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_05]: I, I, I don't know. I, you know what I mean? Like it's,

[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I can never tell what the fuck I'm in the mood for. I enjoy the company of Ben.

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_05]: We've, we've had this discussion before where I like having a boyfriend and I

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_05]: like having a kind of relationship with a man, whatever. You know what I mean?

[00:21:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Like that's why I have Marco around. That's why King Dorf is my boy.

[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Excuse me. Hot, right?

[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Someone said Joel someone seems to be the Pied Piper of pornography.

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_03]: I do convert people to doing it. And like I, cause okay. All right.

[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_05]: You know what I've started doing and I did this all in England and it's super

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_05]: sketchy,

[00:22:16] [SPEAKER_05]: but I love doing it is I love getting people off grinder to do camera work.

[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_05]: I, if you reach out to me on grinder and say,

[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm your fan and I'm needing a cameraman,

[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_05]: there's a really good chance I'll be like, Hey, you busy?

[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_03]: What are you doing? You want to watch us have sex?

[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, you know what? Cause honestly, before I did all of this,

[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_05]: that would have been like my dream such a scenario and not to say your job to not

[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_05]: to dismiss the quality of your work.

[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Don't worry.

[00:22:50] [SPEAKER_05]: You don't need to be a rocket scientist to hold the rig for an only fan shoot.

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_05]: It's going to be infinitely better than if one of us idiots is trying to like

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_05]: tilt it on like a radiator.

[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes. You know what I mean?

[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Even like the most garbage footage is still better than,

[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_05]: than a lot of the like steady camera stuff that I see sometimes.

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_05]: And especially for myself. The other thing too is I'm like Cutler X,

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_05]: I'll just tell you to do something like I'll break, I don't care.

[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I'll break the fourth wall and I'm like, Hey camera, can you do a panning?

[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm butt fucking someone. And I'm like, Hey, can you do,

[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_05]: I did that on the film just now. I was like, Hey,

[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_05]: tell me his eyes are open cameraman.

[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Tell him to keep his eyes open while I throw up. Fuck it.

[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Meanwhile, the whole time I'm like, are they going to kill him?

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I know. Wasn't that great? It was. No. Yeah, it was. That was gag.

[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_03]: The fact like there's no, Oh my God. Right.

[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I came across those videos by accident. 2002, 2003.

[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't even know how long ago, but I remember that was the first time I have

[00:23:51] [SPEAKER_03]: ever seen somebody fiddle up while getting like face fucked.

[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And I remember thinking to myself, wow, people are really into this.

[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't, I was so into those.

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_05]: I fucking loved those videos. Those were one of those videos.

[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_05]: I remember like laying on my ex boyfriend's bed with my leg,

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Dell laptop on. I'm making a masturbating.

[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_03]: He would be a good person to look up and try and talk to him. Yeah.

[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Very interesting. Oh my God. Put me in touch with him. Yeah. He's a,

[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_05]: he's a real interesting dude. Where is he based out of? He's,

[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_05]: he was based out of Palm Springs.

[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_05]: I think he's in either in San Francisco and Palm Springs now. He's yeah.

[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_05]: I know. Look him up. I'll try to reach,

[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_05]: I'll try to reach out to him because I begged to be on that fucking thing.

[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, it's a series that doesn't work as well nowadays. Yes. For many reasons.

[00:24:41] [SPEAKER_05]: For many reasons.

[00:24:41] [SPEAKER_05]: It was also a little bit more of the humiliation than I personally like to do

[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_05]: now in my life. Like now when I actually think about it,

[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_05]: cause they used to write in the copy, it was a little diminishing.

[00:24:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I remember the copy would be like Eddie decided that he wanted to make,

[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_05]: make some money instead of working at McDonald's because Eddie's McDonald's

[00:25:02] [SPEAKER_05]: worker, except today he's going to choke on some cock or just like even more

[00:25:07] [SPEAKER_05]: dismal. It was, there was kind of a negative tilt in the sense that the bottom

[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_05]: was lesser than because he's choking to death on penis.

[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Joel is so funny. He's like the Robin Williams of porn. You know what?

[00:25:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Some really, really snarky gays. Okay.

[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_05]: So that's something that was very funny to me,

[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_05]: but they said I'm more like the William H. Macy of porn. Okay.

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_05]: They're like, your career is more like William H. Macy. And I was like, okay.

[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Like it had to take me a second. I'm like, they're Fargo.

[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_05]: What else does that motherfucker do? Hey, this is great. Oh,

[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_03]: William H. Macy. He's, he's great. He's kind of like we said before the,

[00:25:45] [SPEAKER_03]: the, I prefer the careers.

[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't like the skyrocket careers because there's only,

[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_03]: there's only one way after that. I'm sorry.

[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe I do want to be a Heath Ledger of porn. Give me a break.

[00:25:56] [SPEAKER_05]: I like the Phillip Seymour Hoffman of porn. Yes. The consistent. Well,

[00:25:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean those people are Rob Williams side too. Yeah.

[00:26:03] [SPEAKER_03]: William H. Macy is still alive. Yeah. Well, thank you. And shameless.

[00:26:09] [SPEAKER_03]: So this is a good look at this.

[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_03]: The greatest gift to American culture is Joel someone getting gagged by Julian

[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Torres. We just talked about that. We just talked about it.

[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Cause I, I always with the succines, I always try.

[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm like if there's not a butthole involved, I really need to go all out.

[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Go ham. Like go ham. And what did you do?

[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_05]: I held my eye open and he ejaculated into it. Like,

[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_05]: like that was the funniest thing in the world is I remember when you,

[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_05]: we watched it, you were like,

[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I also remember afterwards you were like, did you get the shot? Yeah, I got it.

[00:26:40] [SPEAKER_03]: But your eyes started getting red almost immediately.

[00:26:43] [SPEAKER_05]: All right. I'm sorry. We've all, if you've lived long enough,

[00:26:45] [SPEAKER_05]: someone's ejaculated in your eye. It's not that weird. You know how it feels.

[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_05]: That's not even the 10th time I've had cum in my eye. Okay. I could deal.

[00:26:54] [SPEAKER_05]: The trick is visine and like flood it, flood it with visine. Get all the gist.

[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Don't wipe it. Flooded it with visine.

[00:27:02] [SPEAKER_05]: I used to see that in straight porn more like straight porn does some raunchy

[00:27:06] [SPEAKER_05]: things to those girls. Like that's like a whole, like, you know what I mean?

[00:27:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I feel like that's normal. I feel like, yeah, like, like me,

[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_05]: that's what I mean is like doing something like that.

[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_05]: I had already seen in like a straight porno.

[00:27:18] [SPEAKER_03]: And I enjoy that.

[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I enjoy that you watch the straight stuff and try to put that kind of stuff and

[00:27:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I would love facials more.

[00:27:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I would love to shoot facials more often than not. It's always this, uh,

[00:27:32] [SPEAKER_03]: you got to shoot on the ass. You got to shoot in.

[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_03]: If you're doing the succine, you shoot in the mouth. I get that.

[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_03]: But facials are fun.

[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes somebody wants to get a little cum on their face and there's nothing

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_03]: wrong with that.

[00:27:43] [SPEAKER_05]: And what was great with Devin was like, since we were doing one of the reasons,

[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I love the hard gag stuff is his like,

[00:27:51] [SPEAKER_05]: I shoved it all the way down his throat and he gagged on it.

[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, there was no fiction to this.

[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_05]: And it poured down and it just glazed,

[00:28:01] [SPEAKER_05]: glazed his face and his eyes were like glazed shut.

[00:28:05] [SPEAKER_05]: And I just pulled them up by the hair and it's just like, Oh no,

[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_03]: his eyes were open the whole time. So gorgeous.

[00:28:10] [SPEAKER_03]: It was, it was something else. Um,

[00:28:13] [SPEAKER_03]: people are either going to insanely love that or not like it.

[00:28:18] [SPEAKER_03]: It's the weirdest thing. But then again, it's treasure Island.

[00:28:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And so I think they'll, they'll fucking love it.

[00:28:22] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, the people who complain and I'm sorry, I don't mean I'm trolls.

[00:28:27] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm talking to you. I know this is your creative outlet.

[00:28:31] [SPEAKER_05]: And uh, I get that. Email me,

[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_05]: email me at Joel Sullen at yahoo.com and uh,

[00:28:38] [SPEAKER_05]: I'll send you a free porno. Any, anybody, if you've gotten to this point,

[00:28:42] [SPEAKER_05]: you've heard me cry about my dad and fucking rugs and claiming I'm not gay.

[00:28:47] [SPEAKER_05]: This is the Easter egg.

[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_05]: This is the classic troll someone Easter egg to show that you've watched enough

[00:28:52] [SPEAKER_05]: of this bullshit of me. All right. So it asked for the Easter egg,

[00:28:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Joel someone at yahoo.com thank you trolls.

[00:28:59] [SPEAKER_03]: So Joel someone,

[00:29:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think that you are as despised on the podcast.

[00:29:05] [SPEAKER_03]: I really thought, I'm sorry. I know it's all right.

[00:29:08] [SPEAKER_03]: There's nothing wrong with that. I just feel bad for Sean Durant.

[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, Sean Durant's okay. Sean. Okay.

[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_05]: You know who gets a lot of what Sean Durant gets is Marco.

[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Is he quiet?

[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_05]: And people don't realize a lot of these dudes who are like really,

[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_05]: really hot and then have kind of like that stone look.

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_05]: And I don't mean to out them. They're kind of shy. Yeah.

[00:29:37] [SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean? And back in the day when they were goofy looking,

[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_05]: nobody gave a shit. But now that they've had like a glow up and they're hot,

[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_05]: they're like, you're a mean gay. Like what the fuck's your problem?

[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, you know what I mean?

[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Just because I'm one of those people who can't stop talking and to keep a smile

[00:29:50] [SPEAKER_05]: on to like relax people because I have like sad resting deli owner eyes that

[00:29:56] [SPEAKER_05]: make people uncomfortable. I do.

[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Everyone in my family has like our stone faced Italians.

[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_03]: That's so specific though. Deli owner.

[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_03]: You guys you're Italian.

[00:30:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah. Very Italian. I just like,

[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_03]: how did Italians end up in New Mexico?

[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, are you kidding me?

[00:30:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Italians have been like jumping on the Southwest for ever. It's funny. I was,

[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_05]: I was,

[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_05]: I went to an exhibit about in Santa Fe, New Mexico that talked about kind of like

[00:30:23] [SPEAKER_05]: the settling of the West.

[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_05]: There was a bunch of Italians who were like opening up shops and stuff like that.

[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_05]: That's what my dad did.

[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_05]: My dad was an ER and a helicopter paramedic and they opened a hospital and they

[00:30:34] [SPEAKER_05]: needed helicopter. So it was like, come on out there. You know what I mean?

[00:30:38] [SPEAKER_05]: It was, it was the land of opportunity. It's like you, New Mexico is cool.

[00:30:43] [SPEAKER_03]: New Mexico is a cool, I miss New Mexico.

[00:30:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I do. I've been there twice now and Santa Fe,

[00:30:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Taos. Where's that place? The oldest house in the,

[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh yeah, that's out there. The oldest house in America. Yeah.

[00:30:58] [SPEAKER_05]: The living Pueblo, the earth ships, the Zobra,

[00:31:03] [SPEAKER_05]: balloon Fiesta,

[00:31:06] [SPEAKER_05]: the fucking Carlsbad caverns, white sands.

[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_05]: I used to be a Kilimanjaro safari driver for Disney.

[00:31:11] [SPEAKER_05]: So you can tell I'm like giving you like the, so you know on your right,

[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I would like to go where they did. Wild hogs.

[00:31:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Tim Allen movie that was filmed out there. Oh, I haven't seen that.

[00:31:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I know of it, but so this one's really nice and it's from four years ago and it's

[00:31:29] [SPEAKER_03]: from the first episode that we did together and it's from Honey LeBronx and she

[00:31:35] [SPEAKER_03]: says, okay, the last three to five minutes,

[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I definitely got teary eyed from some of Joel's comments.

[00:31:41] [SPEAKER_03]: It's so affirming to hear some validation or someone validate that there is

[00:31:46] [SPEAKER_03]: something gay porn has given me beyond just sex.

[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_05]: That's really sweet. Um, once again, I'm really sorry.

[00:31:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Shondra hates you. Listen, when I get,

[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_03]: when I get a couple of bad ones come in,

[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_05]: please add them on at the end of the money. I'll call you and I'll say, yeah,

[00:32:05] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not tearing up from it. I'm not tearing up. It's just that it's,

[00:32:08] [SPEAKER_05]: there's these lights. They're, they're really hard on my eyes.

[00:32:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you, Honey LeBronx. Um, you know, it's, it's hard.

[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_05]: And this is the part you might end up having to cut is we don't teach sex ed in

[00:32:19] [SPEAKER_05]: school very much. They do a little for straight people, zero for gay people.

[00:32:25] [SPEAKER_05]: We are a group like gay people desire to be with others.

[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean? We desire to find our tribes.

[00:32:35] [SPEAKER_05]: We desire to feel to belong. And it's what makes us stronger.

[00:32:41] [SPEAKER_05]: Porn is an outlet of our sexuality. Good, bad, ugly.

[00:32:46] [SPEAKER_05]: It's the blueprint for the way we have intimacy with one another sadly.

[00:32:51] [SPEAKER_05]: And so sad to think that young people will watch porn because like that's sadly

[00:32:56] [SPEAKER_05]: the truth.

[00:32:56] [SPEAKER_05]: It's sadly the truth that that's the only way place that they're able to see

[00:32:59] [SPEAKER_05]: sexuality. And I honestly am proud of what I do.

[00:33:04] [SPEAKER_05]: What I do,

[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_05]: if the version of me when I was younger found it might not have learned as many

[00:33:10] [SPEAKER_05]: toxic traits. You know what I mean? I might be a little more fraternal.

[00:33:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I wouldn't have had to kind of learn all of these things and go through all

[00:33:18] [SPEAKER_05]: of these lessons as hard. I wouldn't,

[00:33:21] [SPEAKER_05]: I maybe wouldn't have struggled with such low self-esteem for so long.

[00:33:24] [SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean? Like I, this is,

[00:33:29] [SPEAKER_05]: this job every day is surreal. It's surreal.

[00:33:33] [SPEAKER_05]: It's gotten bigger every year, every year I've seen you.

[00:33:37] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm more and more blessed. There's more opportunities.

[00:33:41] [SPEAKER_05]: I have made a living. I'm successful.

[00:33:45] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm really lucky. Like I have the best fans. Like, you know what I mean?

[00:33:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I it's hard because I've talked to you about kind of sometimes feeling like an

[00:33:54] [SPEAKER_05]: outsider and it's like people appreciate that.

[00:33:59] [SPEAKER_05]: They appreciate, I've appreciated being an outsider now. So I'm like,

[00:34:02] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm okay with my outsider.

[00:34:04] [SPEAKER_03]: And I know this now because of watching a lot of porn from the,

[00:34:09] [SPEAKER_03]: not even gay erotic films from the seventies.

[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I haven't gotten into the eighties yet,

[00:34:14] [SPEAKER_03]: but once the star system started being what it is today,

[00:34:18] [SPEAKER_03]: that's what creates this factory of,

[00:34:23] [SPEAKER_03]: of pornography. Let's say you, if you watch movies from the seventies,

[00:34:28] [SPEAKER_03]: you, you would have fit in perfectly because yeah, the money's great.

[00:34:32] [SPEAKER_03]: But you enjoy what you're doing and you can, you can see that on film.

[00:34:37] [SPEAKER_03]: If you don't, it, I did it.

[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I just did a shoot not too long ago and I can tell that the person was just

[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_03]: doing it for the money and that's all fine and stuff. I get it.

[00:34:49] [SPEAKER_03]: But when you can see that this person's having a good time and doesn't matter

[00:34:54] [SPEAKER_03]: how long they're there, they want to get the best shots. They want to do this.

[00:34:58] [SPEAKER_03]: That's really, really cool. And you are kind of that person.

[00:35:01] [SPEAKER_05]: I like being that person who comes with ideas,

[00:35:04] [SPEAKER_05]: but that doesn't step on a director because there are those two.

[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_05]: There are those who, who are directing the whole thing. And I'm not that,

[00:35:13] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not that.

[00:35:14] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not the person who's going to stop the set for like little details that

[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_05]: don't matter. But like when I was telling you about the gang bang, I'm like,

[00:35:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I want this. I think I, I'm going to go out of the way and get costumes.

[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_05]: I know you'd be on board. I know you'd be like, fuck yes.

[00:35:26] [SPEAKER_05]: I love that idea.

[00:35:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Spice it up or spruce it up is always welcome. So don't worry about it.

[00:35:30] [SPEAKER_05]: I also know my limits. Like when I work with the buy stuff,

[00:35:35] [SPEAKER_05]: like I will put in my two cents,

[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_05]: but there's already three straight dudes bickering about nonsense.

[00:35:40] [SPEAKER_05]: So it's like not jumping in on that. You know what I mean?

[00:35:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Those are the days where you just kind of like let it ride because they're

[00:35:46] [SPEAKER_05]: already dealing with like, you know,

[00:35:48] [SPEAKER_05]: how her pussy hairs parted or something like that. And then like, it's a,

[00:35:53] [SPEAKER_05]: it's, it's funny. I catch a lot.

[00:35:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm sneaky cause I have those Ray-Ban stories classes, which I love those.

[00:36:00] [SPEAKER_05]: I catch so much behind the scenes shit.

[00:36:02] [SPEAKER_05]: I do about getting a pair of those now. You should. Yeah. They're so sketchy.

[00:36:06] [SPEAKER_05]: There's the footage is garbage. They're garbage.

[00:36:09] [SPEAKER_05]: But every once in a while you'll catch like gold or catch someone off guard

[00:36:13] [SPEAKER_05]: saying some like random bullshit, which yeah, you know, whatever.

[00:36:17] [SPEAKER_05]: But they're great for those moments on set where you're just like,

[00:36:22] [SPEAKER_05]: what the fuck's going on? Like, you know what I mean?

[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I caught all the boys arguing about under,

[00:36:27] [SPEAKER_05]: cause they were doing the underneath the table shot of a trans girl putting her

[00:36:30] [SPEAKER_05]: foot in my crotch and like jerking off my foot with her crotch and stuff like

[00:36:35] [SPEAKER_05]: that. And just to hear them like,

[00:36:40] [SPEAKER_05]: I have it on camera. It makes me laugh.

[00:36:42] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's not like I'm keeping this from her. I posted it on Twitter.

[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_05]: They love it because they think, you know, they were there. Like,

[00:36:47] [SPEAKER_05]: you know what I mean? I caught it. And so it's, it's just like,

[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_05]: that was always my dream. Like it's,

[00:36:53] [SPEAKER_05]: it's one of those things that like I don't mind giving more of myself out there

[00:36:56] [SPEAKER_05]: because I remember, I know that that's what makes people enjoy it.

[00:37:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Is it makes it human. I think it makes it less cold.

[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_05]: It makes it feel like something you could do. Like, I,

[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_05]: I get people all the time asking me how do I, how do I start porn?

[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's like, I used to say, I'm like, do this, this, and this.

[00:37:13] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's like, I just tell people, you know what? Apply,

[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_05]: start applying places. Start taking,

[00:37:22] [SPEAKER_05]: put up dirty pictures of yourself on Twitter. That's the first step.

[00:37:25] [SPEAKER_05]: If you want to be a porn star,

[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_05]: the first step is start being thirst trapped.

[00:37:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I've talked to Jason Mark, Jason Mark, who I work with in Palm Springs.

[00:37:36] [SPEAKER_05]: And he's like, you like, and he said this to me, actually, he's like, you know,

[00:37:41] [SPEAKER_05]: you're not really like thirsty enough on your like Instagram and stuff.

[00:37:45] [SPEAKER_05]: And I was like, oh, okay. You'd like it needs. He's like,

[00:37:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I want someone who's like showing off their body. Like, he's like,

[00:37:50] [SPEAKER_05]: those are the people we hire. Those are the people we hire.

[00:37:52] [SPEAKER_05]: The ones that are like flexing and doing gym selfies. And they're like,

[00:37:56] [SPEAKER_05]: look at me. I'm beautiful. And I'm like, okay, great. You know what I mean?

[00:38:00] [SPEAKER_05]: So I tell new people, I'm like, start making a third. If, if,

[00:38:03] [SPEAKER_05]: if porn producers see that you have a thirsty Instagram, they're gonna be like,

[00:38:07] [SPEAKER_05]: this guy wants to show off. Let's get him naked on camera.

[00:38:12] [SPEAKER_05]: First step easy. It's a confidence thing.

[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_05]: I never had the confidence to do that.

[00:38:17] [SPEAKER_05]: It took years for me to have the confidence to like stand up and pull my shirt

[00:38:22] [SPEAKER_05]: up and be like, look at me. I'm sexy. And once you do it, you doubt it.

[00:38:29] [SPEAKER_03]: It's done. What's next? What's next for Joel Simon? Oh my God.

[00:38:35] [SPEAKER_03]: This is like seven up, you know,

[00:38:37] [SPEAKER_03]: you know that documentary series from Britain where they would interview,

[00:38:42] [SPEAKER_03]: it started in like the fifties or sixties and they interview the same group of

[00:38:45] [SPEAKER_03]: people from like, I think there's like 12 of them and there's seven in the first

[00:38:50] [SPEAKER_03]: one and then 14 in the next one and then 21.

[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And it kind of captures their lives as it keeps going. I mean, granted,

[00:38:56] [SPEAKER_03]: this is four years, but still like from 2019 to now.

[00:39:02] [SPEAKER_03]: What's next? What do you, what do you see 2025,

[00:39:05] [SPEAKER_03]: 2024 and beyond until the next time I see you?

[00:39:11] [SPEAKER_05]: You know, I'm, I'm, I'm getting out of the fuck it's I'm getting out of the,

[00:39:16] [SPEAKER_05]: the kind of hiding phase. I, I, I'm definitely,

[00:39:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm definitely trying harder with like my only fans and I love doing studio.

[00:39:25] [SPEAKER_05]: I will always love doing a studio. It's my favorite part of porn.

[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Like that's what I said. It's like, it's beautiful.

[00:39:30] [SPEAKER_05]: It's the Hollywood of porn,

[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_05]: but I've really been enjoying the idea of creating my own content and I just

[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_05]: created actually a really,

[00:39:40] [SPEAKER_05]: really funny porno with Otter Gunnar and in Portland or in Seattle when I was out

[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_05]: there,

[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I went out to Seattle and I met this performer named Otter Gunnar and we just did

[00:39:52] [SPEAKER_05]: a regular like fuck scene,

[00:39:53] [SPEAKER_05]: but there was like funny parts about it and I didn't realize it.

[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_05]: And then there's this guy in LA who has like a 13 inch penis who I like having

[00:40:01] [SPEAKER_05]: sex with. He's not a porn actor, but he's just like a dick.

[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I like to go sit on him and thank like literally I'm just sitting on his penis

[00:40:09] [SPEAKER_05]: and like, thank you so much. Like, Hey, whatever. Side note.

[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_05]: But to get to this penis, he made me watch the worst TV ever.

[00:40:18] [SPEAKER_05]: He made me watch one of those paranormal documentary shows where it's all like

[00:40:23] [SPEAKER_05]: talking heads and bullshit like that, where it's like

[00:40:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Satanist priest Eddie Redmayne is telling you about like, no, no, no, no.

[00:40:32] [SPEAKER_05]: And he has like, there's a terrible clip that shows nothing.

[00:40:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Like a reenactment?

[00:40:36] [SPEAKER_05]: No, no. There's like a clip that shows like a tether ball getting thrown across

[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_05]: the man and he, then he pops up and like,

[00:40:41] [SPEAKER_05]: clearly it shows that the paranormal have crossed into the realm and just like

[00:40:47] [SPEAKER_05]: some asshole. Who the fuck are you Eddie? Like, you know what I mean?

[00:40:50] [SPEAKER_05]: And I remember sitting thinking like, God, I want this guy's dick so bad.

[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I want it so bad. I'm sitting watching this bullshit show. And so he made you

[00:40:59] [SPEAKER_05]: work for it. He made me work for it. It was very much worth it.

[00:41:02] [SPEAKER_05]: But when I got home, I realized that Ottergooner is an incredible editor,

[00:41:07] [SPEAKER_05]: an incredible editor.

[00:41:08] [SPEAKER_05]: And so him and his friend created Joel someone's haunted holes,

[00:41:14] [SPEAKER_05]: our own paranormal documentary version where there's funny,

[00:41:19] [SPEAKER_05]: he makes funny noises.

[00:41:20] [SPEAKER_05]: We have little like cutaways of like interviewing us. It's like me talking about

[00:41:25] [SPEAKER_05]: how I've known it was very fun. And then we had Jonah Wheeler put on the priest thing.

[00:41:29] [SPEAKER_05]: And he spoke as a satanic priest. It just, cause like,

[00:41:33] [SPEAKER_05]: I was like, you know what I mean? Like, I love shit.

[00:41:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I would love to do something like that.

[00:41:38] [SPEAKER_05]: I'll send it to you. Jonah.

[00:41:41] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm glad Jonah got brought up. Fucking love that boy. He is my spot.

[00:41:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Good kid.

[00:41:46] [SPEAKER_05]: He went to the Avian awards with me and I barely saw him.

[00:41:50] [SPEAKER_05]: He is such a good like partner in crime.

[00:41:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Like him and I were both like wonder twins and then split apart.

[00:41:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Like truly, like he's one of those people who's just so chill.

[00:42:00] [SPEAKER_05]: He's not needy whatsoever. It was like,

[00:42:04] [SPEAKER_05]: we barely saw each other over two days. And then like,

[00:42:07] [SPEAKER_05]: there's this new performer named Camden Dean who's got like a nine inch penis,

[00:42:11] [SPEAKER_05]: of course. And I just invited him over to have sex with, well, Jonah was there.

[00:42:15] [SPEAKER_05]: I was like, Hey, Camden's going to pound me out.

[00:42:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Do you want to suck on his dick a little bit too? Like, and he was like, yeah.

[00:42:20] [SPEAKER_05]: And it just, I love that. I love that.

[00:42:23] [SPEAKER_05]: That's why I love finding rando dudes off grinder to hold cameras. And I,

[00:42:27] [SPEAKER_05]: I love, I love the weird, I love the kooky.

[00:42:30] [SPEAKER_05]: I love the unexpected because I know how much I loved that when I would watch

[00:42:34] [SPEAKER_05]: porn. So that's kind of my future. I've, I've,

[00:42:37] [SPEAKER_05]: it's I'm trying really hard to make more of these things that have more thought

[00:42:41] [SPEAKER_05]: than just me hiring a camera guy and filming, which is already a lot of work.

[00:42:46] [SPEAKER_05]: But I am trying to like, I am trying to like,

[00:42:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I did a suit shoot with NYC where I had us all wear suits and I'm just,

[00:42:53] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm slowly kind of getting a little more,

[00:42:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I want there to be a little more of a running theme. Like I,

[00:42:58] [SPEAKER_05]: I kind of almost want, I want Joel,

[00:43:00] [SPEAKER_05]: someone's fantasy world to create be created. Like, you know what I mean?

[00:43:03] [SPEAKER_05]: This stupid it's and it's, and for me, it's like Joel,

[00:43:07] [SPEAKER_05]: someone's wacky world. Like that's,

[00:43:09] [SPEAKER_05]: that's what it is to me where it's like a total gag where it's today.

[00:43:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Today we're all wearing suits tomorrow. We're pregnant. We Mormons.

[00:43:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Funny you say that while I was watching researching for the podcast, um,

[00:43:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I saw this straight orgy from the seventies and everybody was just kind of

[00:43:26] [SPEAKER_03]: wearing their own cop. Like it was basketball player, baseball.

[00:43:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, that would be hot. Like if people just almost like Halloween,

[00:43:33] [SPEAKER_03]: but it wasn't Halloween. You knew it wasn't Halloween.

[00:43:35] [SPEAKER_03]: These people were wearing actual outfits from,

[00:43:37] [SPEAKER_05]: it was like a swinger's party. Yeah.

[00:43:39] [SPEAKER_05]: It was just like we're throwing a swinger's party where our costume,

[00:43:42] [SPEAKER_05]: where something you feel sexy in and people just, you know,

[00:43:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh and how crunchy were all they to like it was probably, what was that stupid?

[00:43:49] [SPEAKER_05]: It's not, was it? Let's make a deal.

[00:43:50] [SPEAKER_05]: What's the TV show where they all have to wear costumes in the audience?

[00:43:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't remember that. It's um, Wayne Brady is the host of it now.

[00:44:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Whose line is it anyway? No, no, no, no, no. It's, it's, it's one from, no,

[00:44:04] [SPEAKER_05]: it's one from like the sixties and seventies where you, you have to like,

[00:44:08] [SPEAKER_05]: you pick the doors. Anyway, you'll write it on the thing.

[00:44:13] [SPEAKER_05]: I like just write it in the copy of like with the little gremlins with the little

[00:44:16] [SPEAKER_05]: cards. No, that's, that's, that's something else. That's whammies. No,

[00:44:19] [SPEAKER_05]: that's not that. No worries. No whammies. Anyway. Yes.

[00:44:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Sorry. Are you sure? I'm not a faggot. I'm sorry. Trolls.

[00:44:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Are you sure I'm not gay?

[00:44:30] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm bringing up antique game shows and all of this stuff. I'm like,

[00:44:33] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what else I have to do. Let's go antiquing.

[00:44:37] [SPEAKER_03]: You're just going to have to watch old movies with me. Yeah.

[00:44:41] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, to meet each and every one of these trolls. I would. Yeah.

[00:44:45] [SPEAKER_03]: That's funny. I would. You can change it. If a troll somewhere,

[00:44:49] [SPEAKER_05]: troll someone, troll someone, but you know,

[00:44:53] [SPEAKER_05]: I would if you have nasty things to say about me, I don't care.

[00:44:57] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not taking it personally. I'm not going to catch you outside.

[00:45:00] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't have that in me. I don't have that in me. I don't care.

[00:45:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Like if you want to say to my first job, like, okay, well maybe I am.

[00:45:08] [SPEAKER_05]: It's hard because I deal with this with other performers too, where it's like,

[00:45:11] [SPEAKER_05]: I've because performers look different in person and I've never understood when

[00:45:15] [SPEAKER_05]: performers get so upset with you when you don't recognize them.

[00:45:18] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm like, you're an internet person until I meet you.

[00:45:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I do with a lot of internet people saying what the trolls and all of that stuff

[00:45:25] [SPEAKER_05]: like that. It's like, you don't exist until I meet you. And once I do,

[00:45:29] [SPEAKER_05]: I'll shake your hand. Lovely. But like, that's the only way I can live my life.

[00:45:33] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm sorry. I was talking to you and you were like talking about how they're

[00:45:37] [SPEAKER_05]: like, yeah, they say I talk too much. And then they want me to see me naked.

[00:45:40] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm like, wow,

[00:45:41] [SPEAKER_05]: you've already read way more than I am willing to read. So funny. But it's,

[00:45:46] [SPEAKER_05]: it's, you're also not as well loved as I am. I'm sorry.

[00:45:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I am not. I agree with that.

[00:45:51] [SPEAKER_03]: My thing is, is I'm such a,

[00:45:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm a behind the scenes person and my thing is trying to make something look

[00:45:58] [SPEAKER_03]: a certain way. And if I can't do it for a studio, I can do it for,

[00:46:02] [SPEAKER_03]: what happened? But you deserve this. Oh, well, I'm more comfortable doing it.

[00:46:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I was going to say, yeah, no, I'm absolutely more comfortable doing it.

[00:46:10] [SPEAKER_03]: But the thing is, is I enjoy,

[00:46:12] [SPEAKER_03]: like I enjoy the historical biographies and all that stuff.

[00:46:16] [SPEAKER_03]: So when people ask, Oh, Hey, we'd love to see you do this. And I'm like, Oh,

[00:46:20] [SPEAKER_03]: great. I'll give it a shot. And then as uncomfortable as I am,

[00:46:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll give it a shot. And then you'll have that one person.

[00:46:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Why do you have to be in it all the time? And I'm like, but I,

[00:46:29] [SPEAKER_05]: but it's one. It's one person.

[00:46:34] [SPEAKER_05]: And that's what's so,

[00:46:35] [SPEAKER_05]: and I feel for people because it's like I'm about to hit 200,000 followers,

[00:46:42] [SPEAKER_05]: 200,000 fucking followers. That's unbelievable to me. It's inflated.

[00:46:46] [SPEAKER_05]: It's not real. I'm sorry. It's, it's, it's not like Instagram followers.

[00:46:49] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm sorry. No, it's only like 20,000 followers.

[00:46:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Instagram followers are hard to get. Yes, they are.

[00:46:58] [SPEAKER_05]: But anyway, side point, side point. It's just,

[00:47:02] [SPEAKER_05]: how,

[00:47:03] [SPEAKER_05]: how can I listen to that one person when I have 200,000 people willing to

[00:47:08] [SPEAKER_05]: subscribe to my shit? Like how many subscribers does a YouTube channel have now?

[00:47:15] [SPEAKER_03]: 33,000, 33,000. That's 33,000.

[00:47:18] [SPEAKER_03]: And one person. Oh, I know one person.

[00:47:21] [SPEAKER_03]: And my favorite part, and I,

[00:47:23] [SPEAKER_03]: and I'm so guilty of doing this sometimes all the time.

[00:47:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I take all the good ones, so I have to take the bad ones.

[00:47:31] [SPEAKER_03]: But sometimes I'm like, does this person have any merit? Like, I'm curious.

[00:47:37] [SPEAKER_03]: There's little call outs for no reason other than to, well, I know more.

[00:47:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Good for you. But I like all of my research.

[00:47:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Start a show. Yeah, exactly. Start a show.

[00:47:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Is there, I have all my references.

[00:47:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I deep dig and deep dive like there's no tomorrow when it comes to that.

[00:47:56] [SPEAKER_05]: But you know, it's, it's, well, we all can also, but to be perfectly honest,

[00:48:01] [SPEAKER_05]: like do you watch RuPaul's Drag Race? No. Oh, you don't?

[00:48:05] [SPEAKER_03]: No. I stopped watching. This is the one who's not gay.

[00:48:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I stopped watching. You don't watch the show. Okay.

[00:48:10] [SPEAKER_05]: But you've watched it before. And I'm sure you critique the show with your no

[00:48:15] [SPEAKER_05]: drag ass knowledge. No, you don't.

[00:48:18] [SPEAKER_05]: You don't watch it and you don't say that limp sink sucked or that dress sucked

[00:48:22] [SPEAKER_03]: or that wig is flat. You never, I ain't going to be the worst gay person right now.

[00:48:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm already sick of you. I never, I never enjoyed drag queens.

[00:48:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow. You went, wow. Oh my God.

[00:48:35] [SPEAKER_03]: There were few and far between. They were slim piggings.

[00:48:38] [SPEAKER_03]: No one will ever be RuPaul. RuPaul's not even RuPaul anymore,

[00:48:41] [SPEAKER_03]: but RuPaul's making money now.

[00:48:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I remember RuPaul from KTU,

[00:48:47] [SPEAKER_03]: from the RuPaul show on VH1.

[00:48:50] [SPEAKER_03]: All of her albums up until like 2014.

[00:48:55] [SPEAKER_03]: But Bianca Del Rio, RuPaul.

[00:48:59] [SPEAKER_03]: So you like a couple of them? Yeah, a handful, you know.

[00:49:02] [SPEAKER_05]: But it's, but it's, but what I'm saying is I watch RuPaul's Drag Race and I watch

[00:49:09] [SPEAKER_05]: the show and I critique it. We all kind of do that. You,

[00:49:12] [SPEAKER_05]: there's something you fucking do that with. You're just, you're just not,

[00:49:14] [SPEAKER_05]: that's just, I chose a bad example. Thank you for not going along with my example.

[00:49:19] [SPEAKER_05]: It's all right. It's all right. It would have just been so much easier,

[00:49:21] [SPEAKER_05]: but it's okay.

[00:49:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Cause I've never actually been asked that,

[00:49:24] [SPEAKER_03]: but I see drag queens and porn get really lumped together for some reason.

[00:49:31] [SPEAKER_05]: I've never put a wig on. I have never done makeup.

[00:49:34] [SPEAKER_05]: There was zero reason I should have. I don't write critiques.

[00:49:37] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't go online and write them,

[00:49:39] [SPEAKER_05]: but I do critique them like Kiki with my little girlfriends and whatnot about

[00:49:42] [SPEAKER_05]: like this and be like, Oh my God,

[00:49:45] [SPEAKER_05]: I have no idea what this person is experiencing on this television show.

[00:49:49] [SPEAKER_05]: That's been curated for me. You know what I mean? So it's like as much,

[00:49:51] [SPEAKER_05]: as much jest as I put towards my trolls,

[00:49:55] [SPEAKER_05]: that same experience goes for them. You know what I mean?

[00:49:59] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm a hypocrite. I have critiqued others that I have no experience of.

[00:50:03] [SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean? Same could be said for you.

[00:50:05] [SPEAKER_05]: These people who are critiquing your show are just like,

[00:50:08] [SPEAKER_05]: they got nothing else to do. It's them trying to Kiki.

[00:50:12] [SPEAKER_05]: And the other thing too is it's tech. So it's toneless. Yeah,

[00:50:15] [SPEAKER_05]: you're absolutely these, these little quips.

[00:50:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I love sending grinder message voice messages.

[00:50:21] [SPEAKER_05]: I love doing that. I love sending grinder voice messages because there is,

[00:50:26] [SPEAKER_05]: you can get the tone of the room.

[00:50:28] [SPEAKER_05]: You feel what this person sounds like.

[00:50:30] [SPEAKER_05]: The human voice is so beautiful and is so much more than just like quick

[00:50:35] [SPEAKER_05]: little like text. And you can have a little bit of nuance in your humor.

[00:50:40] [SPEAKER_05]: You could play with people more as opposed to what you write,

[00:50:43] [SPEAKER_05]: which might seem really cold and distant or really bitchy or really mean,

[00:50:47] [SPEAKER_05]: you know what I mean? Cause we're, we speak of as gay people.

[00:50:51] [SPEAKER_05]: We speak in many different kind of, we very various different

[00:50:57] [SPEAKER_05]: girl could be said a thousand different ways. By the way, I say, girl,

[00:51:04] [SPEAKER_05]: you could tell what my Chipotle order is. Right?

[00:51:11] [SPEAKER_05]: So it's, it's like, I don't forget that you are reading cold text.

[00:51:19] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm sure the person in Buffalo,

[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Washington, New York, Buffalo, New York, Buffalo,

[00:51:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Buffalo, New York. Sorry. Whatever he's doing.

[00:51:32] [SPEAKER_05]: He thought he was, you know, like, yeah, I got you bitch.

[00:51:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Good for you. There are some times where I'll take it, but I'm like, Oh,

[00:51:38] [SPEAKER_03]: that's a very good idea. But no, yeah, there's, I look,

[00:51:42] [SPEAKER_03]: anything you put out there, even with your, your scenes and stuff,

[00:51:45] [SPEAKER_03]: anything you put out there, that's like your baby. Those are your babies.

[00:51:47] [SPEAKER_03]: You're you're kind of, well, no pun, but those are kind of, you're,

[00:51:51] [SPEAKER_03]: you're putting them out. You're offering stuff. That's not clickbait.

[00:51:54] [SPEAKER_03]: That's not clickbait. That's not dumbing people down. That's not like there's,

[00:51:59] [SPEAKER_05]: there's certain, I feel like, but you know what though?

[00:52:02] [SPEAKER_05]: I feel like people are also a lot softer than they used to be.

[00:52:06] [SPEAKER_05]: People don't give criticism anymore. You're right. You know what I mean?

[00:52:10] [SPEAKER_05]: And sometimes we need it. I'm sorry.

[00:52:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Like sometimes I have a stupid haircut. Thank you, Marco,

[00:52:17] [SPEAKER_05]: for telling me it's a stupid haircut asshole.

[00:52:19] [SPEAKER_05]: But still thank you for telling me. You know what I mean?

[00:52:24] [SPEAKER_05]: We, we, we, we lack criticism and now this is the only venue for

[00:52:28] [SPEAKER_05]: criticism. And you know what I mean? I, I don't think it's all bad. Yeah.

[00:52:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. You're right. I don't think it's all bad.

[00:52:35] [SPEAKER_03]: I do enjoy constructive criticism a little more.

[00:52:38] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not going to flip out and tell people they're turfs for their,

[00:52:41] [SPEAKER_05]: their little quick comments. Because first of all, if they read them,

[00:52:45] [SPEAKER_05]: they don't deserve air. That comments deserves to suffocate.

[00:52:48] [SPEAKER_05]: It deserves to be the impolite comment.

[00:52:51] [SPEAKER_05]: It was that fell on the ground and nobody responded to. Yeah.

[00:52:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Sorry about it. I'm like,

[00:52:57] [SPEAKER_05]: do you really believe Joel someone with his 200,000 Twitter followers is going to

[00:53:01] [SPEAKER_05]: respond to your bullshit pass? Sorry.

[00:53:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Who is this? Uh, there you go. Sorry.

[00:53:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Now not to go all the way off on trolls and stuff like that,

[00:53:14] [SPEAKER_05]: but you see how it affects people. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:53:16] [SPEAKER_05]: That's what breaks my heart is when I meet performers who I look up to and who

[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm like, wow, you've done things that really matter.

[00:53:24] [SPEAKER_05]: You've done things that touched me.

[00:53:27] [SPEAKER_05]: I was not able to verbalize how, what you did touched me and hear them bitching

[00:53:31] [SPEAKER_05]: about like the fans being so mean to them. I'm like the nine people,

[00:53:37] [SPEAKER_05]: the nine people, those nine people.

[00:53:40] [SPEAKER_05]: And those nine people will come back because you fed them because you,

[00:53:44] [SPEAKER_05]: you gave them a little like, I don't know what's like fish food.

[00:53:48] [SPEAKER_05]: They come bobbing up for it. That's why I imagine it's like,

[00:53:51] [SPEAKER_03]: there you go. Trolls. No, yeah. Yeah. There's, there's a smart,

[00:53:54] [SPEAKER_03]: a smart way to respond to them.

[00:53:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I can moan and bitch to you because you know,

[00:54:00] [SPEAKER_03]: we're talking about it, but I also have very little patience. So I apologize.

[00:54:05] [SPEAKER_05]: This is my dad energy. This is my dad energy. Like I,

[00:54:08] [SPEAKER_03]: it comes from a good place. That's the thing. So I can take it.

[00:54:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Constructive credit. No, I know. And I'm stronger than that.

[00:54:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Take me down. But the thing is, is yeah, it's like, okay, well,

[00:54:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I would never say that to you, dick face, you know, but,

[00:54:24] [SPEAKER_05]: we digress. We digress. So we talked about death,

[00:54:30] [SPEAKER_05]: antiques, avian. What's going on with you?

[00:54:33] [SPEAKER_05]: When's season five coming out? What's coming out next?

[00:54:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Season five is coming out as soon as I finished season four,

[00:54:39] [SPEAKER_03]: like almost immediately. Who are you chasing?

[00:54:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I basically do two bios, three bios in one interview.

[00:54:46] [SPEAKER_03]: And I do some movies in there from the seventies and stuff. And then,

[00:54:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I've not watched any of your history ones. History ones are fun. I would,

[00:54:52] [SPEAKER_03]: definitely I'll send you one that I thought was like the Joe Gage one,

[00:54:57] [SPEAKER_03]: because I feel like Joe Gage is one of those directors that you would have

[00:55:00] [SPEAKER_03]: loved. Like, so I do, what I do is I do a director.

[00:55:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I do a movie that the director did. And then if he worked with a model a lot,

[00:55:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll, I'll choose showcase them all. Yeah, exactly.

[00:55:12] [SPEAKER_03]: And so many of the guys, unfortunately,

[00:55:15] [SPEAKER_03]: because it's in the seventies or not, like they didn't make it past the nineties.

[00:55:19] [SPEAKER_03]: And, um, so isn't it crazy? It is. So there's Joe Gage. He,

[00:55:24] [SPEAKER_03]: he basically introduced the middle, the Midwest man to gay porn.

[00:55:28] [SPEAKER_03]: The Marlboro man. Yeah. So he did that. And Richard Locke,

[00:55:32] [SPEAKER_03]: who was this guy who was awesome. He was like this,

[00:55:36] [SPEAKER_03]: this hippie gay porn star who was building geodesic domes

[00:55:41] [SPEAKER_03]: in, in the desert.

[00:55:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I like the idea that you are Joe someone your story is more

[00:55:48] [SPEAKER_03]: out there than a lot of these guys.

[00:55:51] [SPEAKER_03]: These guys started this industry and it's almost like an homage or paying

[00:55:55] [SPEAKER_03]: respect to where you came from. Like, this is one of the only careers.

[00:55:58] [SPEAKER_03]: You don't have to go to college or learn about all that stuff beforehand.

[00:56:03] [SPEAKER_03]: This is for me,

[00:56:03] [SPEAKER_03]: this is like a college because I'm getting to use the finishing school.

[00:56:07] [SPEAKER_03]: It is a finishing school.

[00:56:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm getting to see all these people that came before and made all of this

[00:56:12] [SPEAKER_03]: possible.

[00:56:13] [SPEAKER_03]: The people that got arrested for just not

[00:56:17] [SPEAKER_03]: distributing across state lines that,

[00:56:20] [SPEAKER_03]: that thought pornography was lewd material and would put you in jail for stuff

[00:56:24] [SPEAKER_03]: like that. People that spent a lot of years in jail.

[00:56:26] [SPEAKER_05]: It's amazing. Like the idea, I tell people all the time, it's like the,

[00:56:30] [SPEAKER_05]: the fact that we live in a culture that on television,

[00:56:33] [SPEAKER_05]: they speak about only fans creators and, and like, you know what I mean?

[00:56:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Just the fact that that said on national TV,

[00:56:41] [SPEAKER_05]: only fans is such a big deal. Yeah,

[00:56:45] [SPEAKER_05]: that's a big deal for years.

[00:56:48] [SPEAKER_05]: People wouldn't even say pornography on there because you know what I mean?

[00:56:52] [SPEAKER_05]: And so it's, it's fascinating. And speaking of dead porn stars,

[00:56:57] [SPEAKER_05]: I saw the weird, it's just,

[00:56:58] [SPEAKER_05]: it amazes me the weird things you find on the internet. I remember,

[00:57:02] [SPEAKER_05]: I found this one video because you know, when you're just like,

[00:57:05] [SPEAKER_05]: you find everything. I found this video and it's,

[00:57:08] [SPEAKER_05]: and it's hard because I've known so many people die.

[00:57:11] [SPEAKER_05]: It was a video of all these girls and each one of them was a girl in like some

[00:57:17] [SPEAKER_05]: performance. It had her name,

[00:57:20] [SPEAKER_05]: her stage name, the year she died and what she died of in like clips.

[00:57:25] [SPEAKER_05]: And it was weird. It was this masturbation reel of like dead girls.

[00:57:31] [SPEAKER_05]: But it was in a way that was so strange. You know what I mean?

[00:57:36] [SPEAKER_05]: It's just a weird,

[00:57:37] [SPEAKER_05]: the way people's brains work and the way that they digest sexual digest

[00:57:41] [SPEAKER_05]: sexuality. And there's something so Warhol and surreal and weird about when you

[00:57:48] [SPEAKER_05]: stumble across these things that are people's masturbatory hates and at the

[00:57:53] [SPEAKER_05]: same time are just like so moving that you get like a visceral reaction to it.

[00:58:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Like people don't realize it's like it's easy to piss on porn. Absolutely.

[00:58:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Porn is art. Porn could be art.

[00:58:08] [SPEAKER_04]: You get a visceral reaction to porn. You would ejaculate. Yeah.

[00:58:12] [SPEAKER_04]: You're watching it and you are reading so deeply into it that you ejaculate.

[00:58:18] [SPEAKER_03]: You have a specific connection for a specific amount of time,

[00:58:23] [SPEAKER_03]: depending on how many times you come back to the same clip or depending on how

[00:58:26] [SPEAKER_03]: many times you come back to the same movie, you can go anywhere.

[00:58:29] [SPEAKER_03]: But the thing is, is that that whatever you're watching to get off on that moment

[00:58:34] [SPEAKER_03]: is, has,

[00:58:36] [SPEAKER_05]: if you are consumers of lots of porn,

[00:58:40] [SPEAKER_05]: start a journal every time you jerk off to porn,

[00:58:45] [SPEAKER_05]: try to play with your head because we all do this way when we're getting close to

[00:58:51] [SPEAKER_05]: the pop shop, write down, write down what's in there,

[00:58:56] [SPEAKER_05]: write down what's rep, the things that pop up,

[00:58:59] [SPEAKER_05]: the things that it represents. Cause I remember, like I said,

[00:59:03] [SPEAKER_05]: I remember when I would watch those things,

[00:59:05] [SPEAKER_05]: the little things that brought things up to me,

[00:59:07] [SPEAKER_05]: like the way a man touched another person's lower back and like, Oh my God,

[00:59:11] [SPEAKER_05]: that's something a father would do to a son. Look at him.

[00:59:13] [SPEAKER_05]: He's getting pounded out or the dwarf with the fucking, uh,

[00:59:18] [SPEAKER_05]: uh, the, the, the ankle monitoring bracelet on his, on his thing,

[00:59:22] [SPEAKER_05]: where it was like all of a sudden I went from like, Oh, he's a hot dwarf.

[00:59:25] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm like, Oh poor guy. He must be struggling with stuff. Like still coming.

[00:59:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Write it down. Truly write it down.

[00:59:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Because I've gone through all I've since I've watched so much porn,

[00:59:37] [SPEAKER_05]: it's made me really kind of look at a lot of it objectively and it's,

[00:59:43] [SPEAKER_05]: it's helpful. Like, you know what I mean? I don't mean to seem like, Oh my God,

[00:59:46] [SPEAKER_05]: porn therapy. But if you watch enough of it,

[00:59:50] [SPEAKER_05]: you're trying to talk to yourself. You know what I mean?

[00:59:54] [SPEAKER_03]: You should be listening.

[00:59:55] [SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot of people that will never understand and that's fine.

[00:59:58] [SPEAKER_03]: But for people that do even have a healthy relationship with porn,

[01:00:05] [SPEAKER_03]: unhealthy, whatever, whatever the case may be there,

[01:00:08] [SPEAKER_03]: there is something to be said about the people who have lived in the dark for so

[01:00:14] [SPEAKER_03]: long. And you know,

[01:00:16] [SPEAKER_03]: there are fans out there from porn stars from the seventies and eighties.

[01:00:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I find like to do something on this person, do something.

[01:00:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I loved this person.

[01:00:24] [SPEAKER_03]: It was different back then because there wasn't so much of it. But yeah,

[01:00:28] [SPEAKER_05]: but you know, but believe it or not. But now, yes, I agree with you.

[01:00:33] [SPEAKER_05]: But now it's so nuanced. It's, it's,

[01:00:36] [SPEAKER_05]: it's even more pointing to like what things are in your head.

[01:00:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Person behind the camera, the person that put it together,

[01:00:42] [SPEAKER_03]: that's what you're seeing is if they're like,

[01:00:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to do a scene about this.

[01:00:47] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's why the scripted ones from the seventies and eighties, even now,

[01:00:50] [SPEAKER_03]: like when you, when you look at scenarios,

[01:00:53] [SPEAKER_03]: the scenario is so the person that wrote it,

[01:00:58] [SPEAKER_03]: without even, and then you get these guys who are like, yeah, I can do that.

[01:01:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm totally into that.

[01:01:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, me, me, like, like it's, it's,

[01:01:05] [SPEAKER_05]: it's one of those things that I'm like,

[01:01:07] [SPEAKER_05]: like I made good friends with the next door studios guys, which was incredible.

[01:01:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Cause I never thought I would be like someone that the next door studios people

[01:01:14] [SPEAKER_05]: even remotely gave any air to.

[01:01:15] [SPEAKER_05]: And I was hanging out with Walden Woods and Jeremy and they were,

[01:01:20] [SPEAKER_05]: you know what? They, they've been doing really cool stuff with

[01:01:23] [SPEAKER_05]: a, with a disruptive,

[01:01:28] [SPEAKER_05]: disruptive media.

[01:01:29] [SPEAKER_05]: And I got to work on a really fun set and they give cool scripts.

[01:01:33] [SPEAKER_05]: They have really interesting themes and really kind of fun,

[01:01:37] [SPEAKER_05]: dark play with, with sexuality. And that's where I thrive.

[01:01:42] [SPEAKER_05]: And so I like that. I like the say uncles, I like the carnal medias.

[01:01:46] [SPEAKER_05]: I like these people who are creating this psychodrama kind of pornography and

[01:01:50] [SPEAKER_05]: it's becoming a lot more prevalent.

[01:01:52] [SPEAKER_05]: It's less like you stumbled upon like a family Dick scene and you're like,

[01:01:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh my God, am I supposed to look at Austin? Is this the dark web?

[01:02:00] [SPEAKER_05]: It's not that anymore. You know what I mean? It's I,

[01:02:03] [SPEAKER_05]: you meet those fans and they'll walk right up to you and they'll be like,

[01:02:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh my God. Amazing. How do you do this? That's awesome.

[01:02:12] [SPEAKER_05]: That's fucking bad-ass. Done. That's it.
